On June 13, ISFOL hosted the final Conference of the 2nd Italian national Peer Review project in Rome.
The project was coordinated by the Italian Quality Assurance Reference Point, which is managed by Isfol. 16 schools and 16 vocational training centers located in 5 regions took part.
Conference
The Conference gathered national and regional authorities and project participants from schools and vocational training centers:
- In the morning the major Italian institutions responsible for vocational education and training VET, ie. the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Education, the regional authorities and the National Institute for Evaluation, discussed the implementation of the Italian Quality Assurance Plan and the possible role of Peer Review.
- In the afternoon the project participants presented their experience and discussed the outcomes of the Peer Reviews. The feedback was very positive: project participants appreciated Peer Review as a flexible and friendly way to integrate self-evaluation and external evaluation.
The European Peer Review Network and its future activities were presented by Giorgio Allulli.
Outlook
It was decided that ISFOL will set up a national register of Peers to facilitate future Peer Reviews. High interest has been expressed by the institutions and by the participating schools concerning the establishment of the European Peer Review Network and its future activities.
